Returns, Exchange and Refund policy

 

1. Eligibility for Returns & Exchanges

To ensure the highest level of hygiene and product quality, we accept returns or exchanges only under the following conditions:

 

  • The product is unopened, unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging.
  • A return request must be logged within 7 days from the date of delivery.
  • Valid proof of purchase (order number, receipt or payment confirmation) is required.

 

2. Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

 

  • Opened or used perfumes, body mists or cosmetic products
  • Items damaged by the customer after delivery
  • Sale, promotional or discounted items
  • Free gifts, samples or complimentary items

 

3. Refunds

  • Refunds will only be considered in exceptional or severe cases, such as damaged products upon arrival or incorrect items being sent.
  • A valid proof (clear images, courier report or video evidence) must be provided.
  • Each case will undergo a careful review and evaluation by Unwritten Scents, and approval remains at the company’s discretion.
  • If approved, refunds will be processed to the original payment method (EFT/Yoco) within 5–7 working days.
  • Courier fees are non-refundable unless the mistake was on our side.

 

4. Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your parcel arrives damaged or the incorrect product was received:

 

  • Notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photos or video proof.
  • We will arrange a replacement or solution based on the assessment.

 

5. Exchanges

  • Exchanges are allowed only for unopened and unused products and must be requested within 7 days.
  • Shipping costs for returns/exchanges will be the responsibility of the customer unless the error was caused by Unwritten Scents.

 

6. Return Procedure

To request a return, exchange or refund:

  • Provide your full name, order number, reason and proof (if applicable)
  1. Once approved, the item must be couriered back securely in protective packaging
  2. Once inspected and approved, a refund, credit or replacement will be processed (if applicable)
